Teodoro KauselHi,
It’s a pleasure for me to welcome you from our WEB page and to have the opportunity to present to you the SPRING university network; which includes five universities from four continents: Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The acronym SPRING emanates from “Spatial Planning in Regions with Growing Economies” and the global character of the network represents a clear program: capture the diversity present in the regions and local areas of different countries; generate a rich dialogue about the identified problems; contribute to the solution of these problems through the development of a common method of analysing and approaching them.
The International Magister of Sciences “Regional Development Planning and Management” celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and it can be classified on its own right as unique, since it combines theory and practice in the context of different and dissimilar countries with a multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective.
After the first common year at the Technische Universtaet Dortmund in Germany, where SPRING was created, you will be in a position to select among a bunch of prestigious universities in Philippines, Ghana, Tanzania and Chile to spend your second year which will include your thesis work.
Those of you who consider the possibility to select Chile will find in this WEB Page valuable information regarding our university and the city and the region in which it is located.
A warmly greet therefore to a university and a city that will receive you with open arms and will give you a challenging working and living atmosphere combining, academic excellence, a particular scenic beauty and a rich historic and cultural heritage.
